Success story
A custom-product brand grows from spreadsheets into a multi-site business
Winston Collection
Winston Collection makes premium personalized golf headcovers and leather accessories; PeakBeyond has guided every step from a manual, accounting-package business to consumer and wholesale stores, a custom product builder and an ERP now being implemented.

The Challenge
Custom products, manual processes and no in-house IT
Most of what Winston sells is personalized and takes days to produce. The business ran on an accounting package with manual order entry, subcontracted embroidery and manual inventory adjustments, and had little technical help of its own.
Wholesale customers wanted to design their own covers — choosing leather, personalization zones and logos — which no standard product catalog could express, and standard variants couldn't hold inventory for one-off custom items.
As the brand grew it outgrew its first commerce platform, and a move meant migrating products, customers, order history and gift cards cleanly, with search rankings, tax, email, reviews, accounting sync and shopping feeds all working from the first day.
The Strategy
Grow the foundation in stages, and never miss the show date
PeakBeyond started where the business was: weekly working sessions with the owners, connecting orders to accounting, shipping, tax and a first product customizer, so the fundamentals worked before anything ambitious was attempted.
For wholesale, the deadline set the plan. The B2B site with its custom cover builder had to be live for a trade show, so scope was aligned to that date and the final task list was driven over the weekend before the doors opened.
With two storefronts running, we judged that the constraint had moved to the back office, and guided the selection of one ERP across the businesses — with the wholesale site rebuilt on it.
The Solution
Growing the technology foundation one stage at a time
PeakBeyond worked alongside Winston's owners and specialized partners to build the technology capabilities the business needed at each stage of its growth.
- Built the commerce foundation — Connected online orders with accounting, shipping and tax while introducing the first tools for product personalization.
- Opened wholesale self-service — Launched a B2B storefront and custom product builder that allows wholesale customers to configure personalized products themselves.
- Replatformed the consumer business — Led the move to a new commerce platform, including data migration, integrations, testing and launch.
- Automated more of the operation — Reduced manual work across orders, returns, pricing, accounting and wholesale processes.
- Designed the next back office — Led ERP and partner selection, gap analysis, data preparation and implementation planning to bring the businesses onto one operational foundation.
Each stage solved the constraint in front of the business while creating the foundation for the next one.
The Results
Two storefronts, a custom builder and a single back office on the way
The B2B site went live on January 22, 2024 — the first day of the trade show — with the custom product builder working and ready for wholesale customers.
The consumer store followed in April 2025 with its product data migrated and critical integrations in place. Orders and fulfillment were running smoothly immediately after launch, allowing the previous platform to be retired the following month.
The next stage is already underway: one ERP across the businesses, with the wholesale operation being rebuilt around it to eliminate more of the manual work the company started with.
A business that once typed orders by hand now runs consumer and wholesale storefronts, custom product design and, soon, one system behind them all.
