Accessibility statement
Our commitment
Peak Beyond wants everyone to be able to use peakbeyond.com, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation. We treat accessibility as part of building the site, not a separate project.
The standard we follow
We design and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 (opens in a new tab) at Level AA, the standard referenced by most accessibility laws and policies, including guidance under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Our most recent review found no failures on the pages we checked. We keep testing as the site changes, and we will fix any barrier you tell us about.
What we do
- Structure — every page has one main heading, headings in order, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link.
- Keyboard — everything that can be clicked can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Color and contrast — text meets the WCAG AA contrast ratios, and color is never the only way information is shown.
- Text and zoom — text can be enlarged to 200%, and pages reflow to a 320-pixel-wide screen without scrolling sideways.
- Images — informative images have text alternatives; decorative ones are hidden from screen readers. Our drawn map of markets is described in text.
- Forms — every field has a label, required fields are marked, and errors are explained in words next to the field. There is no CAPTCHA and no puzzle to solve.
- Motion — nothing plays or moves on its own for long, and we honor your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Touch — buttons and links are large enough to tap, at least 24 by 24 pixels and larger on phones.
- No overlays — we don’t use accessibility overlay widgets; we fix the site itself.
How we test
Before changes go live, an automated check crawls every page for headings, image text, link and button names, form labels and landmarks. We also run Google Lighthouse’s accessibility audit, which uses the axe rules, on each type of page, and check color contrast, reflow at 320 pixels and keyboard focus in a browser.
Known limitations
- Other companies’ websites. Our success stories and partner pages link to clients, partners and technology providers. Those sites are not ours, and we can’t vouch for their accessibility.
- Logos. Client, partner and technology logos are pictures of each company’s name; each has that name as its text alternative.
- The contact form needs JavaScript. Every page can be read without JavaScript, but the contact form needs it to send. If that’s a barrier, call us instead.
- A form left open. If the contact form is left open for more than two hours, we ask you to press Send again. Nothing you typed is lost.
Tell us about a barrier
If you have trouble using any part of this site, or you’d like something in another format, please tell us. Let us know the page and what went wrong, and how you’d like us to reply.
- Use our contact form and choose “Something else”.
- Call us at 804.612.7891.
We aim to respond within five business days.
Compatibility and technology
The site is built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, and with the assistive technology that works with them.
