Global Consumer Entertainment Brand

From distributor-led sales to a global commerce ecosystem.

Peak Beyond helped a global consumer entertainment brand expand from a distributor-led model into direct-to-consumer commerce — then helped build the technology ecosystem supporting consumers, distributors, service partners, developers, employees and retail operations around the world.

The challenge

Moving closer to the customer — globally.

For years, the brand reached consumers mainly through distributors and retail partners. As direct-to-consumer commerce became more important, it needed direct relationships with its customers while supporting very different markets around the world.

Each country brought its own requirements — language, currency, payments, taxes, consumer regulations, rules for digital products and integrations — while the brand's own standards for security, reliability and customer experience stayed exceptionally high.

The opportunity also reached beyond consumer commerce. The brand needed technology for physical retail, employee purchasing, distributor relationships, service and parts partners, and developer access.

How the relationship evolved

From one channel to a global commerce model.

  1. Stage 1

    Distributor-led

Consumers reached the brand mainly through distributors and retail partners.

  2. Stage 2

    Direct-to-consumer

Direct relationships with customers became the priority.

  3. Stage 3

    International complexity

Every market brought its own currency, payments, taxes and rules.

  4. Stage 4

    A broader ecosystem

Distributors, service partners, developers, employees and stores followed.

  5. Stage 5

    A long-term relationship

Nine years on, the next initiative still starts here.

The strategy

Build one strategy. Adapt it to every market.

Peak Beyond worked alongside the brand's business and technology teams to create a commerce approach that could expand globally without forcing every market into the same operating model.

We defined requirements, shaped the architecture, evaluated technology, coordinated specialized partners and led delivery — building common foundations where they made sense, and keeping the local flexibility each market needed.

  • Distributors

B2B commerce for the brand's distributor network.

  • Service partners

Parts and service commerce for authorized partners.

  • Developers

A portal giving the brand's developer community access to tools and resources.

  • Employees

A private employee store for physical and digital products.

  • Retail

Physical retail operations and point-of-sale initiatives, including system integrations.

The results

From a commerce channel to a commerce ecosystem.

What began as individual commerce initiatives grew into a long-term technology relationship spanning international direct-to-consumer commerce, B2B distribution, service and parts, developer enablement, employee commerce, physical retail, point of sale, digital products and the integrations connecting them.

Across markets, audiences and technologies, Peak Beyond has continued to provide the strategy, technology leadership and specialized expertise needed to move each new initiative forward.

The strongest measure of the relationship may be the simplest: after more than nine years, the next project still comes to Peak Beyond.
